Below is the first look at information regarding Spring Sport Registration. There are a few changes from previous years, so read carefully! As always, everything is subject to change. Keep an eye out for future Newsletters when registration opens!
**Click on the name of each sport to visit that sports’ specific web page for more information**
1) Baseball – registration opening soon. Same interlock of towns as last 2 years. Tball (4-5), 6u mod coach pitch, 8u coach pitch, 10u kid pitch, 12u kid pitch, 14u kid pitch. Also, will be adding “AA” division for 8u and 10u divisions. Details are being confirmed. Players interested in “AA” need to make that selection on the registration form and must attend a mandatory assessment (date TBA). Players who do not make a “AA” team will go into the player pool for our “A” teams. All players who register will be on a Celina team. The number of “AA” teams we form will be determined by the number of players who sign up total for the age division.
2) Girls Softball – registration opening soon. Starting Spring 2019, we will be joining a new interlock of towns that includes Gunter, Pilot Point, 380 Youth Sports, and Tioga, with the possibility of 1-2 more towns. Any players wishing to play with the league in Prosper are welcome to sign up directly with Prosper. Check the Celina Parks and Rec softball page for more information. Our divisions offered are 6u coach pitch, 8u mod kid pitch, 10u kid pitch, 12u, and 14u.
3) Soccer – registration is now open. Continuing our partnership with PASO (Prosper). Use the link on the Celina website to be placed on a Celina-based team.
4) 7v7 Football – Teams form on their own. To register, the Head Coach just needs to send an email to Jeff at email@example.com. Friday night doubleheaders. No “select” teams – rosters should consist of players that are zoned to the same high school. Exceptions are possible when a town does not have a team in your specific division. Divisions classified by year-in-school for NEXT year, Fall 2019. Divisions are “combined rising 5th/rising 6th grade”, “rising 7th grade” , “rising 8th grade” , and “rising 9th grade.” (example: a current 8th grader would be eligible for the “rising 9th grade” division)
Stay warm and dry throughout the holidays as we look forward to warm Spring weather!
